AWARDS AND NOMINATIONS

Deadmau5 has won 11 awards and has been nominated 19 times.  At the the Beatport music awards he won the best electro house artist and best progressive house artist.  Deadmau5 won the best single " Not Exactly".  He was nominated for best remix "Community Funk (Deadmau5 remix) Burufunk vs Carbon Community.  In 2009 he also won 2 awards at the Beatport and those awards were Best Electro House Artist and Best Progressive House artist.

At the 2009 Grammy Awards he did not do as well as he did at the other music awards he has been to.  He was only nominated for the Best Remixed Recording, Non-Classical for "The Longest Road" (Deadmau5 Remix) by Morgan Page featuring Lissie.  At least he was nominated for something then nothing.

This was his 2nd best music awards.  At the 2010 international Dance Music Awards he won

Best American DJ and Best artist and was nominated for Best Global DJ and Best Producer.  He won Best Electro Track and was nominated Best Video for "Ghosts 'n' Stuff" (featuring Rob Swire).   He was also nominated for Best Progressive/Tech Track for "Strobe".                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                           In 2008, 2009, and 2010 Deadmau5 has won many awards in the juno awards.  In 2008 he was nominated for Dance recording of the year for "after hours" with (melleefresh), He won Dance recording of the year for "All you ever want" with (Billy Newton Davies).  In 2009 He won dance recording  of the year for Random album title, and was nominated for dance recording of the year for "move for me"(with Kaskade).  In 2010 he won Dance recording of the year for For lack of a better name.

Deadmau5 vs Marcus Schossow

Deadmau5 had a rivalry with Marcus Schossow, a Swedish Dj.  Marcus created a project named Deadrat6 as a joke on Deadmau5.  He was saying that his track sounds alike.  Here are some songs that are in Deadrat 6 some what exactly, very exactly, and printing Russia those are the songs I could find so hopefully you don't enjoy those songs.  I listened to a couple of those songs, and I find them to be not even as close to being as similar as any of Deadmau5's songs.

 I find that that Deadmau5 is ten times better then this Marcus Schossow.   When I look up Deadrat6 their is nothing their except for youtube videos, and a few blog with nothing on them.  That shows how People would have to prefer Deadmau5 over Marcus Schossow.  You look at the albums that Deadmau5 creates, and everybody loves them.  I guess Marcus Schossow also has talent, his other songs are not that bad.  They would be good enough for people to listen to, and download on to their ipods   

  This was a Swedish Dj trying to make fun of Deadmau5, but it doesn't seem like that really worked for this Dj.  That is one thing you should try, and do is make fun of Deadmau5.  He is one of the most popular Dj their is.  Hopefully you liked this blog about Deadmau5 vs Marcus Schossow.  If your a good person you will comment below.

Genres, and stuff

Joel Thomas Zimmerman is one of the greatest artist in his lifetime.  You could not compare him to any other artist.  He is different to any other music artist,  he puts on a mouse head, and plays his music.  I do not know any other artist that does something so different.  He is one of the most hard working artist, but that comes with a consequence.  On July 30 2010  at 9:30 in a Washington D.C.,  Joel Zimmerman collapsed on stage, suffering from exhaustion, and vomiting.  He had to be rushed to hospital, and had to cancel his next 9 concerts.  I would say he should put more holes, or something that can let the air flow through his mouse head.

 He has many different genres, but I'm only going to be talking about a couple of genres they play.  Electro house is one of the genres I'm going to be talking about.  Electro house is a genre that is combined with several other electro dance music.  Another genre is dubstep.   It originated in South East London, and has reverberant drum patterns, clipped samples, and occasional vocals.

 The name of Deadmau5 came from a weird sighting of a rat.  Joel Zimmerman found a dead rat in his computer when he was changing his video card.  He started to talk on chat rooms about what happened, and he became known as "Dead mouse guy".  His user name was to long so he changed his name "Dead mouse" to Deadmau5.  It's very interesting how he got his techno band name from a dead rat.  Hopefully you like my blog, and please post on this blog.  Thank you.

4 x 4= 12

4 x 4= 12 is the latest album created by Deadmau5.  He created this album on December 7 2010.  His girlfriend sofi has most of the vocals through out the album.  Sofi is a very attractive lady, one of my colleagues tell me.   It's mainly electronic with some dance techno and darker techno.  His his albums consists of 11 great songs.  I am going to be talking about my favorite songs from 4 x 4-= 12.

My favorite songs from the album are Sofi needs a ladder, Some chords, Animal rights, and raise your weapon in that order.  Sofi needs a ladder is Sofi Deadmau5's girlfreind, Singing the song.  Some chords is  a song that has a slow build up of amazing beats with some melodic house build up.  Animal rights is featuring Wolfgang Gartner, a techno artist that is friends with Joel.  Raise your weapon is a song all about war and it is a darker song with a different mood than the other songs.

This was all about the album 4 x 4= 12, and it's song that it features.  All these songs that I like have different tones and meanings to them, that is why I like the all.  They are all fun songs that you can listen to except for Raise your weapon.  If you have not listen to this album you got to listen to it.  If you have any suggestions about this comment.

The Beginning

Hello, this is my first blog post, and I'm going to be writing about is a techno band called DEADMAU5.  I started to recently listen to DEADMAU5, and I enjoy listening to his music.  Joel Thomas Zimmerman's music gets you into the moment, and you would never feel like this listening to any other type of music.  DEAMDAU5 is one of the very first techno bands, Joel Thomas Zimmerman has taken techno music to a whole new level.  He has created many record labels, and made a lot of money.  He is getting all the techno listeners a run for their money.

Joel Thomas Zimmerman the creator of DEADMAU5 was born January 5, 1981, with the age of 30 now.  He grew up in Niagara falls, Ontario, Canada.  He is different then many other music artists, he puts on a mouse head and plays his music.  You don't see anybody else do anything so creative and insane.

This was a sum up of what i am going to be writing about.  This will be very helpful if people post or give me any ideas.  DEADMAU5 is a very interesting topic and if you want to post anything about DEADMAU5 do it.
